We visited Simply South in Frisco with pretty high expectations because of all the hype around this place. Overall, there were definitely a few dishes we loved, but the entire experience didn’t quite live up to what we expected. The starters were really tasty. We especially enjoyed the paneer and crispy corn — both were flavorful and a great way to start the meal. The absolute highlight for us was the cashew phool makhana curry with roti. The curry was extraordinary! It was rich, creamy and packed with flavor, with such a wonderful aroma. Paired with the fresh roti, this was easily our favorite dish of the meal and something I would come back for. We were particularly excited to try their thali, but unfortunately, it was just average for us. With so many different items on the plate, we expected more standout flavors, but nothing really impressed us. The kheema biryani was also okay, but I definitely feel the taste and overall flavor could be improved.

Amazing food and decor! Honestly exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Malabar Parotta Veg Keema and Thatte Idli, and both were packed with flavor. The Veg Keema was especially impressive - it tasted even better than chicken keema, and you could barely tell the difference! It’s soy-based, so it was also very filling and a great source of protein. Great atmosphere, beautiful decor, and delicious food. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I was introduced to this restaurant by my Indian coworkers, and I have to say it does not disappoint! I went on a weekend, and they had some great weekend deals which I didn't get to try, but I had a filter coffee, a benne masala dosa, and gajar ka halwa for dessert. The Dosa was so incredibly flavorful, well spiced, and paired incredibly well with the various chutneys that I came with (the ginger was my favorite). And the Gajar Ka Halwa was such a rich and perfect way to end my meal. I'd love to come again for the ok incredible looking weekend special!

You won’t miss India or Telugu dishes. Awesome service and great food. We especially enjoyed the biryani and appetizers they tasted really good. It’s hard to say what we didnot like. Enjoyed everything we ordered and glad that there is a place like Simply South nearby. A place that we won’t miss to bring friends and family everytime they visit us in Dallas. Heard from an employee that they are opening one in Houston !!! Watch out for that store opening if you are in Houston. Hope the quality and service continues to excel. Great work with creating an awesome experience for the entire family. Greeted with smiles and awesome food !

What can I say? This is easily the best vegetarian Indian food I have ever had. As someone who normally prefers meat, I was genuinely surprised by how incredible every dish was. The Thali was outstanding, every chutney was packed with flavor, and being served on a golden platter made the experience feel truly special. Each item is large enough that you would be super full. We visited on Saturday night and came back again on Sunday for lunch because it was that good. A special thanks to Sathyaleka, Bhagya, and Jhasi for their warm hospitality, friendly service, and excellent recommendations. Amazing food, amazing people, and an unforgettable experience. 10/10—highly recommended!
